Q Theatre has been making work for more than 50 years. Based at The Joan, Penrith we offer audiences a chance to see theatre that has been provoked, inspired or exploded out of our local context. We build pathways for established and early career artists to train, experiment and create.

Courses: Studio Q

Running across four terms, our Studio Q weekly classes offer aspiring artists aged 5–18 the chance to connect with industry mentors and learn what it means to be a performing artist. You might be an actor, circus artist, director, writer or still figuring out. Studio Q is a fun, supportive and safe place to explore. Residencies: Q Theatre Lab

In 2022 Q Theatre will again lead an Artist in Residence program which allocates financial support as well as studio space for independent artists to develop new ideas.
