About Us
Q Theatre has been making work for more than 50 years. Based at The Joan, Penrith we offer audiences a chance to see theatre that has been provoked, inspired or exploded out of our local context. We build pathways for established and early career artists to train, experiment and create.
In Development - New Work
We make shows.
Whether you’re audience, artist or somewhere in between, we hope you can connect with our work in 2023.
If you have questions regarding our program or would like to pitch a project of your own please email qtheatreteam@penrith.city

The Q Story
From providing lunchtime theatre at Circular Quay in the 1960s, to our current home in The Joan, Q Theatre’s extensive and radical work over the past fifty odd years is hugely significant in Australia’s theatrical history and holds a vital place right at the heart of creative Penrith.
A dream of a theatre of passion and ideas that cares deeply...
