Junior Performance Ensemble for Ages 9 – 12

Studio Q’s Junior Performance Ensemble offers passionate young performers ages 9 – 12 in Western Sydney the opportunity to experience the thrill of working on a full-scale production in a professional theatre setting.

Over 16 weeks of intensive rehearsals, Ensemble members will develop and perform a full-length play under the guidance of an established industry director, who will mentor them through the creative process—shaping their craft and preparing them for the stage at Q Theatre as part of its official season.

What to Expect

• Professional Production Experience: Perform in a fully staged play with costumes, lighting, and a live audience in a renowned theatre.
• Mentorship: Work closely with a professional director and creative team to develop your skills and deliver a high-calibre performance.
• Community Connection: Be part of an ensemble that celebrates and nurtures young talent in the Western Sydney arts community.
• Audition-Based Entry: This is a selective program. Entry is by audition only to ensure participants are ready for the creative challenge and commitment.

Rehearsals will be held on Fridays from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, beginning 1 August through to 21 November. The program culminates in a performance at the end of November, with all rehearsals and performances taking place at The Joan. Penrith. The technical rehearsal will be on Friday 28 November, with the final performances on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November.
