Join Dean Drieberg, the renowned resident director of Hamilton the Musical Australia, for an all-day musical theatre workshop tailored for teens aged 13 – 18!

Dive deep into the world of performance as you explore the nuances of acting, mastering character development and emotional storytelling. Strengthen your vocal technique and discover how to bring songs to life with authenticity. Learn the art of movement, focusing on stage presence, choreography, and how to connect physicality with character.

Whether you’re preparing for the stage or simply looking to grow as a performer, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Age Suitability: This masterclass is for teenagers 13 – 18 years old.
  • Creative Kids Vouchers: We accept Creative Kids vouchers for this masterclass. Vouchers can be redeemed in-person at Box Office or over the phone on (02) 4723 7600. To apply for a Creative Kids Voucher, click here.
  • Duration: Each masterclass runs from 9am – 5pm (8 hours) and includes a 10-minute morning tea break, 40-minute lunch break and 10-minute afternoon tea break.
  • What to Bring: A bottle of water, snacks, lunch and non-restrictive clothes that will allow you to practice the choreography. You may also want to bring a change of clothes.
  • Friday Bookings: This workshop is specifically designed for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) and other underrepresented students who may not typically have access to these opportunities. Participation is by invitation only. Schools will identify and nominate students they feel would benefit from this experience, and from these nominations, we will select a group of 15–20 participants.
