Expression of Interest for Community Choirs

Q Theatre is working on a new musical. We’re on the look-out for community choirs that may want to help.

Q Theatre is looking to engage with community choirs to develop a short presentation of song that speak to the place or theme of St Marys. The performance will be presented on the 15th and 16th of May in St Marys (venue TBC).

PRODUCER: Q Theatre is the resident theatre making program at The Joan.

ROLES: up to 5 community choir groups.

EXPERIENCE: No experience in theatre required for those associated with a choir.

THE PRESENTATION: The choirs will work with Clare Richards on chosen songs about St Marys and a some from the new musical, Q Theatre is currently developing.

AVAILABILITY: To be considered for inclusion in the project, groups interest must be available for once a week from 31/03/2020 – 13/05/2020 with the presentation taking place on the 15th and 16th of May (time TBC)

COST: There is no charge for participation in this program.

St Marys Kid was first produced by Q Theatre in association with The Youth Theatre Workshop in January 1977 and was developed as part of the first Festival of Sydney.
